A LSPDFR "Lite" Version for 0.4

Featured Replies

Alright, let me just start this off with a ground rule, NO ONE's PC will be taken into account here, as I feel this is a bit beyond system requirements.

Why?

Well, these are my specs.

I7 7700 4.2 GHz

GTX 1070 8GB

32GB RAM

"Get to the fuckin' point already, @Idahome Samuel!"

I am. Just wait.

I've dug through several support forums now and one of the rising trends I've been seeing is having people decrease the living daylight out of vehicle textures, both exterior and interior, and let me start off by saying that is some grade A BS, just to prevent texture loss on even high end systems like mine, even if mine is aged slightly. Furthermore, for a system like mine, or even a lesser system with a 4GB or 6GB GPU I don't think it's fair we need to sacrafice game quality, when our systems are MORE than equipped to handle GTA V by itself, and even LSPDFR 0.3 before all this bloat got added to it.

I've been doing some experimenting both inside AND outside of my videos - one common trend I see between everything is CPU usage, and it ONLY, O N L Y occurs when LSPDFR is running, even off duty still bogs the game simply because of this bloat, player apartments personal vehicle, everything LSPDFR 0.4 "introduced" it seems is SHREDDING CPU usage someway somehow. These lag issues that LSPDFR players have been experiencing, at least for most of us from what I gathered, was NOWHERE near as often or severe as it was when 0.3 was still mainstream.

"Well why don't you downgrade?"

1. I shouldn't have to downgrade and use out of date mods, scripts, etc. JUST to have a stable game.

2. After the GTA update I'm not even sure if LSPDFR 0.3 will work, if LSPDFR 0.4.2 won't even work.

"Well have you done this this and that to your lspdfr.ini?"

Yes, as a matter of fact I've disabled about EVERYTHING I possibly can from LSPDFR, from ambient spawns, to discord rich presence, to sync, to preloading models - ALL set to false, NONE OF WHICH has improved my performance even the slightest, noticeably at least. if anything all I really noticed was prolonging stability before texture loss / extreme lag still occurs, and 50% of the time it NEVER lasts longer than half an hour at best.

"So what's your point in all this?"

As the title says, I'd like to propose a LSPDFR Lite version, for lack of a better name for it. LSPDFR 0.4, but without all the bloatware of sync, personal character crap, and all these ambient spawns. I can't speak for EVERYONE here, but most of the people I talk to besides myself don't even use the personal character, the apartment, sync, any of that junk, we just either force duty or go to the station directly as intended in 0.3.

(TL: DR)

So, would it be possible to either make some script or mod or whatever to get rid of that, or would it be possible for the devs of LSPDFR to make an addon / separate version of LSPDFR 0.4 WITHOUT all this CPU hogging crap?

Don't get me wrong LSPDFR 0.4 has some really cool features but they're doing SO MUCH more harm than good for those of us who JUST want to patrol, nothing else.
