So I’ve gotten quite comfortable with installing cars, textures, plugins etc for my game. I’m now wanting to try to get into modifying uniforms for my game. My question is, if I install a uniform pack for example an LSPD 8.0 EUP pack, will it just replace the uniforms for my character or will it also replace the uniforms for the NPC LSPD characters as well. From what I can tell, uniforms seem to be the most intricate of mods and I want to make sure I know what’s going on before I try to update it. I’ve added the belts and vests to my game, so I’m familiar with the paths to follow as well.

hey the eup pack will replace mp models components, if you are using the most recent lspdfr by default it utilizes mp models mbase and fbase in the outfits.xml and assign these componets/testures to all police . for example older versions of lspdfr used the games default model s_m_y_cop but was not as cutomizable as an mp model

 

so long story short you can either pick each componet and assign them yourself  or you can have a preset version and work from there just will take some time finding the componets and textures in the closet 

 

Here is a file that sets the configurations  for you and next time you are in the police station locker room if you are missing something you can add the componet # and texture # to your data file data/outfits later  

 

Okay thanks. I’m more referring to lets say for example the NYPD uniform pack available to download on here. If I download and install that, would it only be available for me to select to wear or would the NPC backup cops also be wearing the NYPD uniform?

Everything you install for EUP is an addon so only for you but if install the file posted by rgminton you can change what uniform or clothes your backup is wearing.

The AI Uniform is not being replaced by this, means if you load in the game and get stars the standard police should appear.

If you use ultimate backup this won´t work
