I'm new to LSPDFR and modding GTA. I have used mods for Skyrim on Steam, but that was thru the Steam workshop.

 

I downloaded a new GTA V on July 31, so it would have the update. I downloaded LSPDFR the same day, as well as RageHook and ScriptHook. So I'm pretty sure I have all the most recent ones.

 

The LSPDFR worked ok. But then I tried to use plugins and I think that's where it got messy.

 

I have Traffic Policer, Stop The Ped, Police SmartRadio, and Interactive+. I basically just want the extra controls for dealing with criminals, and arresting them.

 

I downloaded the most recent versions, from this website, and installed them as I had seen others do online, just copying them in. I didn't change any settings.

 

They seemed to work for a few hours, so I switched to using my wireless controller and adapter. That seemed to cause problems with it crashing, so I switched back to my wired one. And now it's been nothing but crashes.

 

It'll crash when it first loads, when there is the black screen with Loading LSPDFR in the bottom right corner. It will crash when I go to Go On Duty if I make it that far. And these crashes either take me right to the desktop, or freeze the game completely and I have to force quit from task manager.

 

I'm thinking of deleting everything and starting from scratch, but I'd also like some advice. Maybe I'm missing something? Maybe there's some piece I'm missing or doing wrong? I'm really not sure and it's very frustrating.

I did some Windows system checking, to make sure it wasn't an issue, and tried launching again and going on duty crashed to my desktop.

In the lspdfr.ini file you should see a line that says "Main.PreloadAllModels". Set that to false and give it a test.
