Pre-Updated GTA V version not launching with LSPDFR 4.2.0

Featured Replies

Hello to all,

I am very new to PC gaming (came for the awesome mods), and actually downloaded GTA V yesterday - along with LSPDFR (4.2.0) and Rage Plugin Hook (open alpha 0.66.1241.15481) I backed up the GTA version (GameBackups.rph) using the Rage Plug Hook application the game worked fine last night, until this morning I am assuming due to the update GTA just pushed out. I reverted the game version and rage plug in says the GTA V version I am running is supported. How ever I cannot get past the social club launcher and receive an error from GTA on startup saying GTA V exited unexpectedly and to retry launch or use safe mode, all the while RPH is in the background waiting for the GTA game window. Please assist.

I have also tried:

Running the Rage Hook as an administrator.

Launching GTA V offline in airplane mode.

Redownloaded a clean GTA V common file and added in the LSPDFR and RPH with the backup file.

Launched GTA V first then the RPH file

Also, the GTA base game only works if it is installed to its latest version.

So after researching more, I found that I have what I need to revert the game and successfully did so but the GTA V launcher is what is stopping the game from running on Steam. Please assist.
