I don't remember how it happened but it started in LSPDFR 0.4.1 and I still have this problem in LSPDFR 0.4.2. Basically, sometimes when I try pulling or fully pull over people, they take off, so I hold down my rightthumb stick (controller) to initiate the pursuit but it doesn't work. It used to work before with this same button and also the red circle (enemy) doesn't show up on the car like it did before so I can't even see it on my map. Any help!!?

Press and hold "B" on the keyboard works for me bud.

Doesn't the pursuit happen automatically if the car pulls away? The right thumbstick is for accessing the backup menu, like asking for more police units to join the chase. Are you sure you aren't cancelling the vehicle stop because of a button mapping mismatch? This could explain why the vehicle drives away.

 

I'd advise checking your config buttons within LSPDFR. Good luck!

Not every pursuit happened automatically for me ever since I started playing LSPDFR, sometimes I had to initiate to start the pursuit. I think I should have been more clear and specific, whenever the car pulls away, if I ask for backup by pressing thumbstick, the first options are for pursuit. Meaning I can call other units for help and they actually come and help me with the chase but it doesn't show up on the map. The cops and the driver running don't get a blip on the map but it goes like a pursuit; no red and blue lights on the map like they happen with other pursuits which happen automatically. And no, I'm not cancelling pursuit because the car just runs away, driving recklessly and it doesn't give me an option to pull anyone else over until I arrest the driver.

I'll try that if that weird pursuit happens again because it doesn't always happen but thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the help but that didn't work either. And now its getting kind of annoying as sometimes I lose the driver running away during pursuit and then I can't find him or do anything else until after a little bit when I have to start a callout on my own.

In car or on foot?
Also what is your "CRIME_REPORT" button in lspdfr in the settings as I believe it is that setting to initate the pursuit.

In car.

My crime report button was set to none, probably thats the issue. I'll update again when I get that pursuit.
