Hey guys,

 

Been trying for HOURS over two days. About to wipe my hands of it.

 

Installed everything correctly on a brand-spanking new install of GTA-V. (Newest Rage-Hook and LSPDFR). No other folder remotely related to GTA V exists.

 

It will RARELY work. Repeated steps fail to make it consecutively work (it very, rarely works. Maybe once every 10 tries, with different steps). 

 

It is fully permitted by windows defender/firewall, as well as my antivirus.

 

It is set to force windowed-mode. This worked the first time, then continued to fail. 

 

Administrative rights to Ragehook and GTA V are enabled. 

 

Sometimes its slow machine, sometimes its bad-anti. Starting GTA V first, then Rage, doesn't work. 

 

Please oh dear god please help!

Yes, I will send it as soon as the game re-installs and I attempt again (it was my last-ditch effort).

I am assuming you’r talking about rage not actually hooking? I’ve had that to. I found a partial fix but it requires you to pay attention real close. When you open rage hook, and it comes up, wait for the text to change to “Waiting for game window”. Then keep clicking the logo of rage that’s in the middle of the screen. Wait until you see gta open and keep clicking it a little bit more. Then once it goes to the bottom left of the screen, stop clicking. The rage icon should now be on the bottom left with the text “enjoy”

 

This is how I have my rage start 10/10 times and actually hooking the game.

 

i will try to find a more stable less work required method of fixing this.

@zvc1002Try running rage plugin hook then before the window pops up hold down shift. The rage plugin hook settings should appear, then go to plugins and click on "don't load any plugins on start up".

Run rage plugin hook again. then load your plugins manually
