FPS drops low after loading LSPDFR

Featured Replies

Hey!

I recently discovered this beautiful mod and I am still very excited to play it.

But problems with the performance are hindering me to enjoy playing it.

First of all my System:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600x - non-OC

16GB DDR4-3200 G.Skill Ram

MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z (Latest driver, 425.31)

GTA is installed on a m.2 SSD, with the latest Ragehook 0.65.1237.15477 and LSPDFR 0.41.

No additional scripts or other modifications. Just basic LSPDFR.

So when I launch the game through steam and load into the singleplayer, everything works just fine.

FPS are on pretty high settings (attached a screenshot below) somewhere between 75 and 125, depending on the area.

After loading Rage and go on duty, the FPS are already at around 60.

Roughly after 20 to 30 minutes of playing LSPDFR, the FPS are going below 30, sometimes even closer to 20 when other cop cars are around.

I already tried to play LSPDFR with very low settings, but the problem remains.

At this point I don't know what else I can try to have a decent experience.

I've tried using the older version of Ragehook that came bundled with LSPDFR, as well as the latest version of it.

Tried very low settings in-game. To install it on a regular SSD instead of the m.2. Tried to give the GTAV.exe a higher priority in the Task-Manager.

Adding and removing some stuff in the settings of Ragehook.

Are Rage Plugins that demanding that decent gaming Rigs are struggling to run it?

Or am I missing something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

lexx

It also happens to me, but I got a much worse rig (i5-4460, R9 380 Nitro 4GB VRAM). I get 60 FPS when off duty though.

That being said, I think you should get 50 fps as lowest, even on duty and with a bunch of cops, cars and explosions.

Thanks for the answer.

So I can assume that it is demanding and I should expect lower frames when on duty, but not these extreme drops that I have.

Time to look for other solutions.
