Ragehook Crashes before Game Loads

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been scouring the forums for quite some time and have not seen a solution to a problem I seem to have, so here we go.

I am able to run GTA IV normally, with .asis installed (nativetrainer, openiv etc) without issue. However, whenever I run Ragehook, I get to the black screen before the legal information and the Ragehook logo shrinks down to the bottom left corner. Then, the 'GTA V has quit unexpectedly' page appears, but no Ragehook crash log. Whether I run it loading LSPDFR or not, it crashes at the same time. I have tried the DX11 and windowed method, also a crash. I even have tried loading GTA V to the main menu normally, then running Ragehook, which still results in a crash. I'm unsure where to go from here.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've made an exception to entire the GTA V folder, still crashes just like before. This is also on a fresh installation of GTA V, but all the Mod folder stuff is old. Do you think it would be worth trying without openiv.asi in the folder?

You can try moving the mods folder out of the directory and onto your desktop and launch rage

Still no dice. Same exact crash.

Well, maybe I just have a cursed PC. I guess I can try another clean install but I'm not sure how much good that would do at this point. I appreciate the help.

Try start fresh from an original copy of GTAV. Download the manual LSPDFR 0.4.1 and follow a guide from Albo on youtube to install. Plugin timeout 60000, windowed mode force on launch RPH. Anti-virus bla bla bla. Make sure you have latest RPH downloaded as well and place over LSPDFR provided one. Try this.
