Independence FM Issue

Featured Replies

Ok, so I put the mp3 music files into the user music folder, I go into gta do quick scan and turn on Independence. Lone behold nothing is playing except commercials. None of my music is working, I have atleast 25 music mp3 files in there. Help?

Make sure the music files you want playing are in mp3 format and located here:

C:Users<user>DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVUser Music

(If you have XP, My Documents>Rockstar Games>GTA IV>User Music

Once in-game, pause, and go to audio. Make sure you pick the Complete Scan option. On the right, it will say something like, searching for new songs 1/10. The number will increase untill it's fully done scanning.

Had to dig this one back up as I've been working on this issue for some time with no fix. I have tried every filetype, in all folders. LCPDFR's install guide suggests running the game in administrator to run with less hiccups. I've attempted to place the .mp3 files in all of the corresponding administrator>documents and settings folders as well with no luck.

Anyone got a fix for those running admin as instructed and also got their music working? I'm on XP.

Try clicking on "Complete Scan" instead of Quick Scan.

I also force it to scan multiple times. Seems to work then
