Police Riot Passenger Seats

Featured Replies

So I've had an issue that's been wracking my brain for awhile now. I installed Cosmo's Lenco Bearcat over my police riot. But I've discovered that even though it works fine, the only seats that work are the two in the back and the two in the front. The hanging on the side does not work.

His files provide vehiclelayouts.meta in order to add further seating (allegedly). However replacing the one in my mods folder causes a game crash. Manually editing mine to have the appropriate lines also causes a crash.

I'm not sure why. Could it be because the model and textures are installed into Albo's Modding DLC pack but the .meta files are in update.rpf? The issue is most certainly due to vehiclelayouts.meta because when I utilize the original version, I do not crash. The crash is always right before plugins are loaded. When the file is not edited, it loads up properly.

I'd post for support on the file page but it doesn't seem like the creator or anyone is actively providing. So rather I come here to ask if anyone can perhaps review the vehiclelayouts.meta or provide new insight as to what may have changed since 2017 to why it's crashing now days?

You are correct in that the vehiclelayouts.meta is the issue.  Don't know why, and not sure of a fix.  The file cannot be edited without causing crashes.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Pim(something) made a variant of the bearcat and provided files for it. I tried with his model and files and it worked, although it has some issues with positioning of the peds inside the vehicle. The all ended nearly in each others lap instead of decently spread on the bench.

Do you know what/where I may need to edit that? Sorry, I don't know much about modding. It's not a super concern though so if not we can consider this resolved. The vehiclelayouts.meta seems to be very very temper mental.

Unfortunately I don't.  I rarely ever mess with the seats in a vehicle, and personally don't like having my ERT guys hanging onto the sides.
