You can right-click it and change program association.

So you meant that you changed the file-ending and not the default program? If so, then you just need to rename the file.

Yes, so, just follow my instructions and choose OpenIV as the preferred program. Just so you know, it doesn't actually matter - You can still open the file from OpenIV. You don't have to use the file itself directly.
