I understand and acknowledge game files cannot be shared or linked on this forum and site. However I am curious as to which files specifically I need in order to revert my game version. I know it's the GTAV.exe and two or so other files. If someone could just tell me what those files names are so that I can properly locate my older files to replace them. My Rage backup is not working and Open IV's backup system I have no idea how to work.

GTA5.exe

GTAVLauncher.exe

Vanilla update.rpf

 

These three are all I've ever backed up, and for a while I was still 10 versions behind as a result.  Just remember, when your game updates and you go to revert, copy the files, then paste them, do not drag and drop your only backup files.

Lol yeah the drag and drop mistake is a classic. Thanks for the quick and informative reply though, I'm hoping to resolve this without having to just settle and play without Scripthook V until update. What was the file version of the previous version we were just on that worked?. I want to assure I take the right files and don't use older ones. 🤔

I couldn't tell you, unfortunately.  I'm still on GTA 1.0.1365.1, Rage version .62.

(I'm assuming this wasn't the previous GTA version, I'm lost now. lol)

No worries, honestly looking like I'm gonna be waiting it out sadly lol. Driving me nuts not having my no reticle and Gun Shot Wound mod going during LSPDFR, forgot how easy and genuinely hard it is do die on patrol without it. Just did an experiment and with full vest and health it took me nearly 30+ shots from the pistol to die, like a one man SWAT and NOOSE team combined lol.

When I replace the files, it asks me for my activation key again while the Rage menu is up, I don't get it lol. When I use the updated version it launches social club fine and does not ask me for it. Odd.
