So I've had this problem for awhile, however the solution that kind of worked stopped working altogether. My RAGE instantly crashes once it begins loading up GTA 5, and the solution that worked was to move a file from System32 into my file directory, which was d3d9ll.dll. I would need to restart my computer every time I wanted to play, but it worked. Now it stopped working and I'm looking for a permanent solution. Antivirus is out of the way and before I uninstalled, I did not have any major mods. Only LSPDFR and ELS. Has anyone encountered the issue? I also have a rage log from the last time I crashed

Now the game loads until the point of going in game, then crashes out again

Lol you copied over a file from system32? that .dll file is common. I have d3d11.dll in my directory but that's for ENB.

Your issue is far too complex with so little info. You have to do a lot of troubleshooting.

• Where does your game crash exactly to the dot?
• Is your game pirated?
• Have you Verified game cache?
• Do you have a mods folder? If so, rename it to mods_ and see if the game works with ragehook.
• Does GTA Vanilla run normal? 
• Do you have the latest gta update, ragehook, scripthook, gameconfig installed. You need all those.
• In ragehook settings(Start Rage and hold left shift for a few seconds) Toggle Forced Windowed mode and see if that works.

Game is not pirated. Steam edition

Game cache is verified

Mods folder in use, tried mods_ previously and didn't work. GTA vanilla also crashed around the same time

Everything is up to date

And windowed is set.

I'm reinstalling completely vanilla though which shouldn't take too long

There should be no reason why Gta vanilla crashes unless something is corrupt. Verify the game cache or I see that you are reinstalling it now. Reply when you test vanilla.

Also post your pc specs. Processor, graphics cards, Ram
