'We did it for kicks' Armed robbers as young as 11 terrorize Houston

These kids committed the crimes knowing they were wrong, yet we're still playing the "JUVENILE, OMG LITTLE KID" card?  If you commit adult crimes and admit to doing it because you "wanted fun", you deserve adult punishment, which includes being named publically.

They committed armed robbery and pistol whipped an elderly man.  Why the fuck are we using kiddy gloves still? Throw their worthless asses in adult court.

Officials say that the kids confessed to planning to use the gas cans to torch their car, which was stolen in an aggravated robbery four hours earlier.

But but...they are innocent little kids! /s

Constable Ted Heap says investigators are looking at the possibility that this group could be responsible for 26 criminal cases dating back to May 2017.

and we still going to have them use the juvenile court system? What a joke.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

The juvenile court system in Texas is a joke. Another reason why these kids grow up to be felons in the future. It just grooms them to it. My supervisor was a Juvenile Parole Officer and he even affirmed that all they do is just put the kids in the system and they are pretty much in and out for the rest of their life.

Put them in the big boy pin and see if they ever want to commit a crime after that since their parents don't seem to care and are probably doped up.

Our society looks at kids as oh so innocent and unable to do wrong, and they don't know what they are doing, but these kids very clearly did.  Yet, we're still treating them their age.  Folks need to realize that tough love, even if that means letting them go to big boy jail, is absolutely needed.  In most cases, it will scare the shit out of them and make them realize 'this is not where I want to be!'  There will be some kids who are entertained by the idea and are inspired by some of the inmates to continue being bad, and in those cases, they are the ones that need a lot of one on one help.

I will say, in defense of some parents, it's not their fault.  There were other forces at work.  I know this from experience, as my old best friends fell into the cycle.

I completely agree with this. If you're old enough to pistol whip an elderly man, you deserve to be treated like an adult. Unfortunately, Texas doesn't see it that way.
