Possible issue with Open IV

Featured Replies

I have an issue with Open IV I think. Ever since the new GTA update my Open IV mods folder doesn't work. When I launch the game with the mod folder in RAGE or the normal GTA V.exe the game will load for a bit then crash. When I remove the mods folder but I still have all my plugins the game will load fine.

The mods folder is identical since before the update and I don't have anything crazy. The usual Emergency services vehicle reskins, Coroner vehicle, and police officer reskins.

I also forgot to mention that I did update the Open IV mods folder like Open IV recommended. Any idea what's causing this issue?

Something in your mods folder is the issue. Since you disabled it and the game didn't crash, it shows it's your mods folder.

What have you installed in your mods folder recently? Even car models (or their metas that you may not have installed) could cause this crashing issue.

1) If you've only installed vehicles since your game was last working, disable the DLC(s) in which those cars are installed from the dlclist.xml and if your game works, its any of those cars.

2) If you've only installed peds, or other mods into any DLC, do the same.

I hope I was some sort of help here!

I tried that as your recommended, Then I tried to rebuild my entire mods folder. The game worked fine and I got all my files back in one place  and everything worked fine until I changed one of the sheriff cars  and it would crash. I changed it back with no improvement and I have no idea what to do.
