Replacing police cars that AI uses

Featured Replies

Please dont call me a dweeb, I know its probably something very little that I am doing wrong.

So I am trying to replace the police cars the AI uses to the ones provided here

http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/18857-los-santos-police-service-mega-pack-els/

So I do all the file replacing that I was told to do (vehicles.meta, carcols.ymt, carvariations.meta)

then I replace the original police car files with the ones provided, I replace all of them, the yfts the the ytds, and I double click on the files after replacing them, and they look perfect.

The problem comes when I boot up the game and I add a few stars to myself. The police come in the default police vehicles.

What am I doing wrong?

What location did you install them to? I suggest installing them to the latest patchday (patchday17) and it should work. Some tutorials will say patchday3 or patchday4, but it's easier just to put them all in the latest one.
