I have successfully installed the latest rage hook and LSPDFR, and they are both in the correct files. But when I launch rage hook.exe the f4 key doesn't launch a console, and when in a police station by the lockers, there is no option to go on duty, instead I get 3 wanted level stars. How can I fix this so lspdfr works properly?

 

Does it say when you're on the loading screen that lspdfr has loaded? if not then you've not added it correctly.

 

click the rageplugin.exe once. then hold shift and double click it again, make sure  'load plugin on startup' and is checked. Then try to load rage within windowed/resized mode ( in the same settings area ) see if that loads rage/lspdfr. You can always go back to fullscreen later.

 

Let me know if that loads lspdfr or rage.

The ragehook loading screen with the floating words etc doesn't appear on the startup screen when I launch the game, and I'm not sure how/if i've not loaded it correctly.

Okay follow this tutorial see if you've added it correctly.

 

 

if the words still don't show then do as i said above, put the rage screen to windowed mode in the settings menu.

This is your problem: 

 

Rockstar Games has released a new online content update for Grand Theft Auto V - "After Hours" (v1493). 
To play LSPDFR, you'll need to revert to an earlier version of GTA (v1365), or wait for a RAGE Plugin Hook update to become available. 

The original posts problem is you aren't forcing windowed mode at launch. To do so, when launching via RageHook, click the settings cog on the rage logo when it first appears on your desktop, from there go into game settings and enable windowed mode and borderless windowed mode. This should fix your problem.
