Lightbar Window Tint Issue

Recommended Posts

Okay so I've seen lots of forum posts about changing the 'diffuseTint' value to make sure your car spawns with no window tint, however I've

changed the value to the proper code for no window tint and the model still spawns with pure black tint. When I go into the trainer, the current tint value is set to 'none' however.

What is the problem?

Have you changed the value in this vehicles.meta \Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5 ? I have found that sometimes certain models require the value to be changed in the original vehicles.meta, or if you've changed it in a newer vehicles.meta just go into the meta I mentioned before and delete the line and then change it in the newer meta, that should work.

I have changed the meta file that is located in the path specified (mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5).

So should I just change it in the original meta, and delete the line in the mods folder meta?

Or can I just delete the line in the mods folder meta, because the default one is overriding it for some reason?

NEW UPDATE:

I played around with the meta files and it seems that if I have both the modded meta line set to the none value and the default meta line set to the none value, the game crashes due to the conflict of which value to use. If I delete the default one, the modded one DOES NOT take over, and the game crashes. So, I deleted the modded meta line, and let the default one be set to the none value. The game did load, but when I spawned the car, the light bar was STILL tinted black, even though the model DEFAULT diffuseTint line was set to the proper code for having no tint. And again, when I access the trainer, the value is still set to None, and if I toggle it to the next setting and back to none, the tint THEN goes away.

This is so bizarre to me, and I've checked the model's textures. There's nothing wrong with them.

I've also attached my modded meta file and the default one, just for comparison. I did copy the entire default meta so that anyone who is willing to help can review my syntax to make sure everything is still in its proper place, so you will still have to Ctrl + F and find SHERIFF2.

The Model I'm having issues with this one: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2013-els-tahoe

I've checked the ReadMe and all of the comments and reviews and nobody seems to be having this issue.
