Weapon sounds

Featured Replies

I've recently been having trouble because when I try to replace a weapon sound with open iv the name use to be some random letters and numbers. For example I'm trying to replace the pistol sound effect and the name use to be 023342XSA0 and now it would be something like ptl_whatevername and when I would try to install a new pistol sound the name of the file would be the old numbers and letter name so when I would drag and drop the file with open iv it would just add a new file and it would create a sound glitch. I need to know the new weapon sound names so I can replace the new pistol effect with something like this Ptl_WeaponName.

To my knowledge, no weapon sounds have been changed.  Is it a weapon sound pack you're trying to use?

No i'm just trying to replace certain sound files like the taser and pistol sound. For example if you open the weapons.awc there will be weapon sound in that file and i'm trying to replace the taser sound so I drag the CHARGE.wav into the folder and it replaces the original sound. But if I drag the 0x1178999F.wav it wouldn't replace the original file so it would create a sound glitch. What I am trying to figure out is the name for something like 0x1178999F so it will replace the original file.
