Grand Theft Auto IV - Bad Graphic Settings

Featured Replies

Hello guys!

I have bad graphic settings at GTA IV.

What do i need to do?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Resource Usage: 202 / 123 MB Warning: Your graphic settings are near, or exceed, the suggested source limits for your system. It is recommended that you reduce your graphic settings in order to run the game optionally.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How can I solve this problem?

Please help me!

  • Burning your money will be a better use of it than buying an alienware laptop

Okay I'll take it that English isn't your first language so I'll give you a pass on that.

In the same place you checked that resource usage, when you pause the game and go to the display options, you should be able to adjust the sliders and the other settings to reduce the quality (change things down to low, turn off AA-ing, reduce the resolution)

Or go to a computer store and buy a new graphics card.

Use this website:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx

And select Grand Theft Auto IV to check how your computer can handle the game.

on my laptop i right click the desk top and click configure graphics settings and i select high performance for playing pc games the require more that 200gb iff you have a laptop you cannot replace the VC but with a DESKTOP you can replace the VC or intact if you buy a alienware Desktop you can have upto 5 VC's at once so if yu get 5 Gforce VC's and use them all at once you could get a max of 1500mb in game

What are your current specs? You might not have to get a new PC, but only a new Graphics Card and possibly a new PSU.

Good graphics cards are the GTX 560ti and 680ti. You can ask Nutt, I've heard he has a nice one. Asus 290 I believe.

Alienware are okay, I've heard the battery is only a few hours, though, so keep it plugged in.

My pc specs:

Acer Aspire 5750

Intel ® Core TM i5-2430M 2.4 GHz

Intel ® Graphics 3000, up to 1760 MB Dynamic Video Memory

you bought your computer as it is didn't you? doesn't even look like like with that setup it could even be upgraded, get a custom built PC, not alienware or MAC, MAC is overpriced shitware and Alienware sound's hightech but again, overpriced shitware

Silmory the only reason why mac is over priced is because of thewr anit virus stuff and all the crap that it comes with if you got a mac with out all the shit its workth about £500 / $1200

They did set up the computer on the store I bought it on....

I can go there and buy a new graphic card.

But Alienware is recommended by Rockstar Games to play Grand Theft Auto IV with, so if I will buy a new pc, I think it will be an Alienware, but what can you guys recommend?

I got Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto EFLC and GTA IV.

I have a graphic error at Grand Theft Auto IV and a little at EFLC.

At EFLC it is:

130/123 MB, that is no problem. But I got other errors with EFLC, so I don't care....

I'm from norway btw, but I found a place there I can change some "graphic" settings on the computer, or whatever.

See pic here:

24osj20.png I did have it at the top, I just changed before i took the screen.

I did buy my pc at http://www.lefdal.com/, so if you guys who know which pc I need, please try to find it at lefdal.com and give me a link...

Either one is just fine, will run VERY smooth. Or it should.

Although do you know what your power supply is in watts? Such as 460w?

I don't know it, but should I buy some of that things from Komplett.no?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brla11YDRxQ&feature=relmfu is my last video.

Btw, it was before I installed LCPD car mods, now I can't see anything. Btw, it's not the mods fault, it's my graphic card.

If you do not understand your power supply, what is the model of your computer? Ex: Dell XPS 8300. You can find it in the Windows Console>Control Panel>System and Security>System

Then you may look on Google searching for the watts (I'll find it if you need help), or you can open the side of your tower after Shutting your computer down, and look inside at a little sticker that says your power supply. If it doesn't make 460w, you can buy another PSU on the website for $20 or so. (From what I'm assuming.)

If you need me to re-explain that or need help with it, just ask me.

My model is Acer Aspire 5750.

But btw, can you help me lower my graphic settings?

(Sorry if I have bad english, I'm from Norway.)
