[Help?} Stop Limb Shot Death Animation

Featured Replies

As title says, it's really annoying when a suspect is shot in the ankle or elbow and drops down to the wounded animation and just dies and bleeds out seconds later. Like the whole sitting/shooting thing and all that. Is there a " wounded " mod or something where this animation is replaced and peds/suspects can be critically injured like in IV, or unconscious but not dead?. Like an laying wounded animation of some sort that avoids the instant bleedout/last stand animation after a limb shot takes someone down. Anyone have any ideas?.

yes, real thought, understand fully what you mean! Unfortunately, I am not aware of any mod or plugin that changes anything in the direction. maybe someone reads with the idea of the plugin programing or something :teehee:

Hello

RAGEuphoria is a little bit like that. When someone gets shot, falls over, or gets hit by a car with that mod, they will attempt to correct themselves and so they will stutter around a little bit, their arms might hold onto where they've been hit, and they try to get back up if they're collapsing. I can't find something that's quite like a "wounded" animation, but while playing with RAGEuphoria I have noticed that they might get shot only once or twice, lay on the ground, and after about 15 seconds I get the "enemy down" screen flash.

Yeah good call i am using a Euphoria plugin that simulates IV's physics to V. However that dreaded " last stand " bleed out animation will not go away. It literally almost makes EMS pointless because EVERY suspect dies of their wounds instantly, which gives me plenty of Coroner roleplay..-..however in IV in LCPDFR i would shoot and wound armed suspect, he would collapse and be in the wounded animation. Then EMS would revive him and in his wounded 1% health state i could finish the arrest process. It's just sad that EVERY firefight has to result in the suspect dying, even if i am not firing at vital organs or lethal center mass areas. I nearly have all of my plugins/mods that i want but this one is driving me absolutely nuts.

I found this, but it hasn't been updated in 3 years so I don't know if it will work. It also might conflict with the Euphoria mod. Also, if the AI aren't "dead", then I don't think the EMS can revive them anyway. In the BetterEMS mod, though, I think there are options that you can change to adjust the chance of how likely the EMS revive are to revive a person.

Good find, I'll get BetterEMS too. Appreciate the help Ninja.

You're welcome :), if you need any more help just let me know.

Been playing for a few days now and am having so much fun with LSPDFR. However this issue is still driving me mad. Another common example is when i am in a physical altercation with a suspect and hit him with a baton..-..It's instant death and pool of blood. Is there anyway to remove blood pools for melee kills?, or should i just download blood textures and call it a rap. I have a feeling i am not going to be able to get the wound/bleed out system to where i want it.

Beside downloading textures on GTA5-mods, I did a quick search and found a file called "bloodfx.dat" in "common.rpf" in the GTA V folder. You'll need OpenIV to access it. The file can be edited like a text file, and it looks like each value is how much blood is released for each "attack" (different melee, gun, etc.). I really have no idea how it works, but it might be worth a shot to play with it and see what happens. If you do, just make sure you back up the original files first.
