ELS lights are dull only during one specific ingame hour

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've tried reading through some of the dull light posts, but this one seemed a little different. At 1900 hours my police lights seem to go dull, if I advanced the clock an hour they look good again. I'm using Visual V and Radiance V. Would there be a specific setting to change for this one hour? My Post FX is also set to Ultra.

Thanks,

It's part of the game.  There's a transitional period where the lights just look completely terrible, and nothing can be done.

Try this. Find your visualsettings.dat file and look for the following settings:

'car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on'

'car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on'

Change the day value to 6000. Change the night setting to 400. At the moment this is what I am doing and I love it.

Please make sure to read everything posted in the thread before replying.  His lights being dim during normal day and night hours is not the problem, it's a very specific, brief time period where the game is transitioning between the two that the lights are like that.

Ah Thanks, I guess I can always just continue to fast forward past this one hour. Just thought I would check.

You're welcome!  I have to do it as well.  Kind of stupid to do it just for one hour, but GTA logic.

As I've said before, we encourage helping. :)   We just want helpers to pay attention to what people say so you don't advise they do something that is not needed.
