I used to have a LSPD Vehicle Pack with ELS Style Lights installed but nothing happening there except for the standard integrated lights and I figured it just says ELS Style there is no ELS for that pack and used the uninstaller of this to remove it.

 

I downloaded a specific els vehicle but I only have static rather dim lights.

 

After reading trough different posts I tried Uninstalling the ASI Loader and the OPENIV.ASI but no changes there - I checked for the scroll lock but nothing there either.

 

Finally I went and removed ELS and the updates folder from the mods ordner and copied into the mods folder a vanilla updates folder and reinstalled els .... after downloading another els vehicle still the same problem.

 

 

Did you also copy the vcf files to pack_default?

I'm not following what exactly the problem is.  Are the lights just dim?

the initial problem was that the lights were STATIC but I resolved that because I realised taht the scripthookV and scripthookV.net were missing suddenly - now the lights are moving BUT

 

they are rather dim ..... dont know how to get them more bright

Ahh, okay.  I asked becuase some models purposely make the lights static, for example TheHurk's CHP pack when you exit the vehicle.

 

Open GTA V's pause menu and go to settings.  Set shader and postfx to high or above.

Both are set to very high

You're welcome!  Remember, it's very easy to tweak them if day or night is too bright for you. :)

Yeah seems to be ....

 

Next thing I have to come to terms with is the thing about having more different variations of cop cars then there are slots available and how to change skins on a vehicle.

 

What I really have to say about this forum is that more people are willing to help finding solutions rather than to tell people to use some search or reminding that the issue was already talked about.

For the slot issue, you can utilize standalone cars.  I've created a guide to help walk you through the process -

 

We do still tell users to use the search in some cases, but for the most part, we've accepted that no one uses the search anyway. lol
