I have an idea for a GTA V mod which will change the way LSPDFR is played. It would take a long time to work and code but I am pretty sure it can be done and if modders band together it will be even more possible. This will revolutionize the way the mod is played and to create even further realism and great endless hours of gameplay. 

 

So you launch LSPDFR with this plugin and you head to the police department to begin your first day on duty. Upon selecting to go on duty you are presented with an option menu, you have a choice of what law enforcement route you would like to go down. Example of the options are as follows... Police Officer, Traffic Officer, SWAT Specialist, Advance Driving Officer etc etc. Each role will have a whole career open to it. Police Officers job is to generally protect and serve and have a general job of overseeing the general public. Traffic Officers main role are to oversee day to day traffic, perform pull overs and help in everyday traffic pursuits. SWAT Specialists is an advance role which will deal with more serious callouts and crimes. SWAT specialists will have to deal with serious callouts such as terrorism and high risk pursuits. Advance Driving Officers deal with pursuits and have vehicles dedicated to help them carry out their job. They are to deal with any high speed pursuits and to take down and catch evaders. 

 

With each role, the player starts off as a trainee.  As a trainee you are given limited equipment, powers and tools. Enough to do your everyday job. This will be level 1. 

 

Police Officer: Basic marked police vehicle, taser, batton and handcuffs. A level 1 police officer will only be allowed to call in a level 1 police backup for support and will be given basic callouts from dispatch. Level 1 officers will not be able to make ped or plate checks, call in tow trucks, coroners etc. Police Officers will be able to level up by completing callouts sent from dispatch. Experience points are gained with every successful arrest. With each level up, new equipment, vehicles, tools and backup will become available. The higher you progress your level, the more power you will posess. Eventually being able to call in high level backup, have high calibur weapons and ability to access all the tools available. 

 

Traffic Officer: Traffic Officers start with a basic marked police vehicle, taser and handcuffs. They have the ability to call in level 1 local backup, have access to plate checks, call in police transport, call in tow trucks but will not yet receive calls from dispatch or be able to run ped checks or any other tools. Traffic officers can level up by successfully arresting suspects. Plate checks will show if the driver has valid registration, insurance etc and so this is how the officer will know if the driver is against the law. Upon level up, a traffic officer will gain access to a new tool and eventually have all tools, equipment and abilities such as being able to run speed checks, dispatch callouts, higher backup, better weapons, vehicles etc.

 

SWAT Specialists: SWAT Specialists have access to a standard  armored SWAT vehicle, ability to call in basic air support and level 2 police backup. They start off with a standard machine gun, pistol, taser, baton and handcuffs. They will not be able to run PED or REG checks or other tools but they will receive specialist calls from dispatch. SWAT can level up by successfully arresting or eliminating targets assigned by dispatch.  Like the other roles, upon each level up, they will get access to a new tool, weapon, ability. backup or vehicle.  

 

Advance Driving Officers: ADO's start of with a high speed unmarked vehicle but do not get any weapons or tool such as ped check, reg check, tow truck etc. They will receive specialist calls from dispatch and have access to call in roadblocks and level 2 police backup. ADO's can level up by successfully arresting the target after ramming the vehicle off road or making the driver exit the vehicle. With each level up they will gain access to better vehicles, pursuit tools, better roadblocks and backup facilities such as air support. 

 

There can be loads more roles each having more different duties. 

 

Roles can be changed at any time by visiting a PD and players will keep that roles level. Players can attempt to maximize the level of each role and each role will start at level 1 even if another role has a different level. 

 

This will make the game a more realistic simulation and provide even more hours of gameplay.
