LSPDFR GTA 5 Steam Installation Tutorial Needed

Featured Replies

Good afternoon forum members. Could anyone recommend a great tutorial for installing LSPDFR on the Steam version of GTA 5?

I attempted to install LSPDFR on my gaming laptop when I first got the PC, I had some sort of issue with Rage Hook crashing in the loading screen and could never get past that point. I was also having issues deleting files inside the Steam folder due to not having admin privileges. Let me explain, when first setup my PC, I was adhering to traditional Windows OS security practices by using a local account for my main account. My PC simply would not allow me admin privileges. I have since, reinstalled the OS with an admin account and no local account is in use. I'm currently downloading GTA 5 from Steam and it should be finished later on tonight.

With so many tutorial's on You Tube, I don't know which would be the best one to use. We all know how frustrating modding can be sometimes, I just want it to work this time, the first time. LSPDFR is why I decided to get back into PC gaming. Please help.

Update. I realize that I posted this in the wrong forum, due to me not paying attention. I would like to apologize for this and I would like to respectfully ask if a mod could place this in it's proper forum.

I installed LSPDFR into my Steam version of GTA 5, however when I get into the game, I can not bring up my console by pressing F4. Here's a run down of what happened. I followed the step's in the video in the link below.

When I first loaded the Rage Hook Plugin, it did not display the Rage Hook screen over the pictures in the loading screen. It did say that it was loading the story mode and Rage Hook Plugin in the bottom right corner. Once in game, the Rage Hook Alpha notification did display over the in game map, as well as, a notification requesting to report any bugs. Once I changed from the fullscreen setting and selected window borderless, restarted the computer and started Rage Hook Plugin, the Rage Hook screen did display over the loading screen pictures, however the F4 key will not bring up my console. Does anyone have any advice on how I might be able to solve this issue?

Check this topic, and search (CTRL F) for F4. see if that helps you.

Thanks. It was of great help. I got to finally play LSPDFR for the first time. Made my first arrest, got into my first vehicle pursuit, as well as, my first foot pursuit!. Now I have to figure out why the lightbar and other warning lights are not working on two of my installed patrol cars using OpenIV with the ELS plugin installed.

The first car is the 2016 Indiana State Police Dodge Charger 1.0.0 by IndianaisMyState.

The second car is the 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit "Ohio State Highway Patrol' 1.3 by Pricefield.

Both car's are awesome and are a pleasure to drive. Here's the problem that I'm having, when I turn on my emergency lights and siren on either patrol car, the siren comes on and the patrol car brake lights flash and all cars yield for me, however the lightbar and the grill lights at the front of the car, do not flash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol VFC file and Indiana State Police ELS config file was placed into the ELS folder in my GTA 5 directory. Once again, I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. I'll have to search You Tube for any videos about this problem.

I had to search for a video explaining how to use OpenIV to install patrol cars, but the video didn't advise anything about ELS files.

I also covered this issue in my topic linked, check the very bottom of the post.  That's where I put all ELS specific issues. :)  If you're still struggling, then we'll figure it out!

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂
