Hello. I'm trying to figure out when replacing those two files in my "mods" folder do I have to replace them in the "update/dlcpacks" folder. If so which DLC pack do I need too place them in?

Hey there.  When replacing them you use the same patchday as you did for all the other police vehicles, the very newest patchday.  In your case, this would be patchday16.

Okay I've tried that my problem is basically livery and ELS issues. Basically with police4. I want too change the livery other than just staying with one skin while in game. But it only shows one livery for that file.  For the FBI issue. I'm using Gumps 2015 charger. The components such as the pushbar and ALPR's are flickering with the lights. I know there wasnt a VCF file attached with Gumps 2015 DUI charger any resolution too that?

1)  You'll need to go into the vehicles.meta and add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY  in order to have multi liveries on the vehicle.

 

2) Please check the download page for Gump's vehicle and verify it's ELS enabled.

Hey I appreciate the help. I got everything fixed and running the way I want it. I havent played GTA V in forever and forgot how to do some modding. Thanks for the refresher.

so when i open my patchday 17 file now, which is the newest file....it doesnt have the police files in them. all of those are back in patchday2, 3 and a couple others...is that why my els isn't working?!

The vehicles you want to replace don't have to be in a patchday for the replacement vehicles to work.  Go ahead and place your new replacement files in patchday17.
