I downloaded the blaine county sheriff Silverado addon police vehicle. but the only thing that shows lights are the break lights. siren works when I push 0 but only that siren and nothing else works. I have scripthookv installed and els installed in both openIV and main directory gta 5. I added the xml file to the ELS vcf manager but nothing works

I have the same issue but for ALL of my cars. The wig-wags are the only thing that work and the lightbars won't light up or anything.

Both of you please try this:   In OpenIV, go to ASI Manager and uninstall ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI and then click install again to reinstall them. Next, restart your PC, and try loading into the game again and see if that works. If it still not working, please post the ASI log and ELS log files.

I apologize, was not notified of your reply.  In your main GTA V directory should be a file named ELS, it'll be a text document. Next, look for the text document named "asiloader".  Attach both of these, please.

I only have a text doc that is called @ info. I don't see a asi txt doc in the els folder

Not the ELS folder.  In your main GTA V directory should be a text document named ELS.  See here:

Since there's no ELS log, ELS isn't even being loaded.  Did you install ScriptHookV?

@Dragonsword86  I know how to make ELS work, I've done it before with the san andreas sheriff pack, but I forgot how to do it. I was just missing one thing. @Kallus Rourke I did have the ELS txt in my recycle bin before I emptied it as I thought it was just another txt doc that logged crashes and what not. I do have scripthookV.dll installed I'm just missing the ELS txt doc. I'm assuming I gotta redownload ELS to get the txt again

The text document isn't necessarily needed. 

 

Since you said you've done this before, a few things:

 

1) Did you place the ELS VCF inside the pack_default folder within the ELS folder?

 

2)  Go into the ELS INI and look for "MaxActiveVehs", change this to 50.

I did those steps. when I press 0 the sirens start as if its a non-ELS vehicle but the lights themselves don't on. I'm not sure if it will be anymore help but the model I'm trying to get ELS to work on is [ELS] Blaine County Sheriff Silverado

so the 0 key doesn't work anymore after I re-added all the openIV files. so I think I fixed the ELS problem, I just cant remember the keys to activate it

0 was never the key to activate ELS...so I'm a bit confused, lol.

 

J three times turns on the light to light stage 3.  Then hit either G or 1-5 for the sirens.

for non-ELS vehicles its 0 atleast for me. 0 is the horn key, so somehow I disabled the els activation system while maintaining the standard siren for use. but i'll try that real quick

nevermind. I honestly don't know what the hell I'm missing because nothing is working, I think I'm going to redownload ELS and get that txt back in

Did you change your GTA V keybindings?  It has been a long, long time since I've used non-ELS vehicles, but I recall E being the key to turn on lights and siren.

no I never changed keys, to be honest with ya I only did the prologue and the first couple missions to unlock micheal and that's it. I beat the story on xbox already so I really didn't mess with a lot of stuff at all. the only key binds I have changed were not vanilla gta keys. only keys for other scripts for lspdfr. but anyways I did that and now the all the light things turned black. I'm trying a different car that I'm going to download

I don't know what I did now. I tested out a new ELS vehicle and when I select the car and get all the lights on it, I spawn into the world to start going on duty and all the lights are black, like red and blue textures are gone or something

That's the first time I heard of that happening.  Did you change anything?
