The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Computer + does not work with add on vehicles (SOLVED)

Is there a way for Computer + to work on add on vehicles? First of all, it works perfectly on all vanilla police slots (police 1,2,3,4, sheriff, sheriff2, fbi etc.). Of course I added backgrounds in the ini file. Whenever I choose my i. e. sheriff3 or police6 vehicle and I press E nothing happens. However, in CHP Mega Pack, which is also an add on everything works flawlessly. I even tried using meta settings from CHP Pack for my manually added vehicles in Patchday16 with no success. It is like Computer+ doesn't recognise the vehicles I manually installed and I am pretty sure those are police vehicles as I used meta settings from police, sheriff etc. Also, I noticed that same cars (police 5,6,7, sheriff3,4,5 etc.) does not respond with lights and sirens (ELS cars) when called as backup. I highly doubt this is a coincidence. Any help would be much appreciated!

1) In the vehicles.meta, make sure the problem add-on cars have FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT and FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE

 

2) Make sure these vehicles all have a carvariations line that includes sirensetting=1

Carvariations was the issue. Thank you so much. I came back to LSPDFR after a while so I do not have much experience with ELS vehicles and I thought I could just place them in the newest patchday and create meta file and they should work. In fact they worked but apparently they were not recognised by some plugins. Anyway, I am gonna update carvariations now and enjoy my huge fleet of vehicles. Thanks again!

You're most welcome!  While carvariations isn't needed for lights and sirens when you have ELS installed, it still controls how a vehicle spawns and how the AI not only reacts to them, but uses the vehicles. :)

Thank for clearing this one up. However, how does it refer to Computer +? I had all the flags in meta files so carvariations line fixed that issue too.

I'm not 100% sure on that, but my suspicion is that sirensetting=1 might help to identify it as a police vehicle at least within the mods coding.
