[Request] Help Adding Personal Patrol Car To Game

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I'm brand new to the LSPDFR scene but I'm a police officer IRL. I'm really enjoying the mods and the support from the community is fantastic. I was hoping to find one of you talented guys and gals to help me out.

I'm wanting to add my personal patrol car (2013 Dodge Charger) to the game to patrol around in for shits and giggles but I have no clue how to do it. Sure, I've watched the tutorials on how to create a custom car and after trying my hand at it, I've come to accept that my talents lie elsewhere.

It's a pretty simple vehicle (no crazy light patterns or excessive light mounts). It's got a single Tomar light bar on top and a small flasher in the rear windshield. (All blues) I'll provide photos if someone decides to help me with the project.

I'd really appreciate the help! Thanks!

Im assuming that your car is using the Tomar scorpion, judging by the year. Unfortunately besides Texas, Arizona and Canada, Tomar isnt really used much and not as popular as other brands. Therefore, afaik there isnt any public model of the bar, @Chief1234 has made one though, dunno if he'd be interested in this.

If not, dont really know what to say, somewhere down the line ill may make one, i have several Tomar cars planned, but thats going to be a long time from now.

@OfficerFive0 I wasn't aware there was no public model available for the Tomar. With that in mind, I'm not going to be a stickler if the light bar ends up being a different brand. I'm mostly just wanting the car. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

Additionally, I should say  that I'm using ELS so it'd have to be compatible.

well, if so, there are plenty of 2013 charger models out, some single, some are parts of packs. im not sure if you want to post pics of the car here, or privately, but someone else or i may be able to point you to a similar car.

Yeah I was able to find a good 12-14 Charger that looks amazing! But how would I get my personal car's skin into that model?

assuming you already have the skins made, and they are to the same template that the model uses, just open the .ytd file in openiv, find the skins, and replace it with yours.

Well that's what I need help with. I attempted to make my own skin but unfortunately I just couldn't make it work. And TBH, I don't think I'd be able to apply the skin even if I already had it. My modding and editing skills are bare minimum at best.

Ok great! Anyone you can point me to? Or how does that work? I don't want to be rude and just start spamming modder's inboxes.
