My backup has stopped working fully a few days ago. What I have observed is that when I call for any type of backup, they will spawn a block or two away, but never reach my current location. If I drive down the block, they will be sitting there in the street with lights and siren going, but not moving at all. I removed the callouts that I had added in the last several weeks, including any mods installed during that time, hoping to fix the issue. None of that helped, I then disabled every mod and callout and attempted to call backup again, same issue. I temporarily renamed my "mods" folder, attempted to call backup again, same issue.

 

Any suggestions or fixes for this?

Check all of the trainers you're using.  Make sure "AI ignore player" or any similar option is disabled.

Verified that is disabled per another thread I saw from a year or two ago.

If you've verified that you did in fact remove all recent mods/scripts, then I'm still guessing it's related to your trainers.

You lead me to the correct place. As it turns out, within the trainer screen in game, it shows those options as disabled, however when I went to look for the trainer.ini file, it was missing. I installed it again and now backup is responding correctly.
