scene light issue

Featured Replies

how do I fix this? I'm using a proven vcf file that works on another vehicle with scene lights. I have flip flopped the dummy every which way with no change.

here is my vcf setup

Are you using any graphics mods?  I've had this issue with a few models and found out it was caused by either my graphics mod or ENB.  The only thing I can suggest doing is disabling the takedowns and seeing if that does it.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

I believe I have visual installed but the downloaded vehicles I have installed work fine. I'm just not figuring out how to setup the scene lights. There has to be something I'm missing but I cant figure it out.

the only thing that changed it is when I rotated the dummy and accidently rotated the emissive parts and the faced the rear. When I did that the environmental light was facing forward. so its like in zmodeler something is not set right telling it which direction its facing.

I have never delved into vehicle development, so I've moved this to the appropriate section for you.  You should get someone better suited for your question shortly. :)

OK, thanks man

make sure the blue arrow is pointing towards the rear of the vehicle in Zmodeler. (Of course I was having the same type of issue on my Tahoe....never did figure out why it was happening though)

What do you mean by blue arrow?

I don't have Zmodeler in front of me here at work, but you have a Red, Green and Blue axis arrows on each part in Zmodeler. The represent your X,Y, and Z axis. Make sure the Blue Z axis is pointing to the rear of the car.

OK I think I understand what your saying. If I put it in top view the z axis should point to the rear right?

correct

No problem....Now that is for takedowns...for alley lights the axis needs to be rotated 90 degress so that is is facing towards the outside of the car.

The setup for the takedowns and scene lighting is the same method right?

Yes and no....Yes that the axis has to be centered on One of the parts, no that the axis has to be perpendicular to how it is setup for takedowns. The best way to see how it is done is look at one of the cars in this pack...They are unlocked so just import into Zmodeler.

I have done everything I can think of and this thing will not display out the front. the blue z axis is facing the rear and so is the ambient light. I don't get it!
