OpenIV gta v is running, error

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm newbie here

The problem it's that I want install a mod for gta v with openIV but when I choose grand theft auto folder appears:

Error: Grand Theft Auto V is running. Close game before using OpenIV.

I looked all services, process or possible elements but I didn't find nothing.

Added: installed in the past other games with openiv and works without problems.

On this case, the game it's installed on E drive, not in operating system, but I think that this is indifferent.

Any help I would apreciate it

Hi, I had this problem and found a solution.

The solution to this problem is just to press control+shift+escape to open task manager, scroll down to background processes and find any instances of GTA running in the background. Once you find it, left click on it and press "End task" in the bottom right. Then close and reopen OpenIV and select the location, it should work now!

Hope this helps!
