Why do some vehicles have an orange and light blue light bar during the day?

Featured Replies

Hello.

I am wondering why some vehicle mods have light bars that are an off red/orange colour and light blue during the day but at night time they are normal? I have attatched a video below to show you what I mean. This is not an issue on all vehicles I install just on a wee bit of them (so I assume an issue with those vehicles). I am using BradM police pack and sherrif pack aswell as Pricefield's NHP sedan pack. I have used Make Visuals Great Again, Naturalvision Remastered and VisualV (with Jeff Favignano's visualsettings) and they all have have the lightbar issue during the day on certain vehicle mods which makes be 100% sure its not "my fault" and it just happens to be the vehicles themselves.

However I am curious as to why it does this. (if video is only in low quality it is because YouTube is still processing the video, should be 1080p)

It usually happens when the lights aren't bright/are low quality.  Is your postfx, shaders and shadows all on high?

Yep, every setting is maxed out. It just happens on a few models.

The sheriff pack does not have the issue with off colour light bar though.

For BradM's LSPD pack, I had the same problem.  This was fixed by using his clear glass option he provides in the downloads.

:( I have that already installed. This aint a big deal as I can just find new vehicles, I just wanted to check that it wasn't something I did wrong. As only I would say about 10% of vehicle packs I have tried out have this. I currently have a few unmarked vehicles installed and they are fine plus the sheriff pack does not have any issues.

I just checked some videos on YouTube and other people have this issue with the LSPD pack. I will just have to try a different pack if it bothers me.

Alright.  If you can humor me, please, attach your visualsettings.dat.

I have used MVGA, Naturalvision and Visual V, Currently I have Visual V installed and I have used both the visualsettings.dat from Visual V and the one that Jeff Favignano uses (currently installed).

I guess this is personal preference, but your day and night emissives are both quite low.    My day is 6000.00 and night is 1500.00

I will try that then. Where abouts is that value to change?

car.defaultlight.emissives.on.  There will be a day and night option.  You can just search "car.default" and you should be taken right to it.

The lights are much brighter (bit too much for me at night you are right on personal preference) but it has not effected the orangey lights. So can I change these values to anything I want to tweak it to my liking? I really like how your values have made the sheriff pack much more noticeable during the day.

Yep!  You can lower them to what you prefer. :)  When you say the orangey light, you mean the orangey flash it produces?  I'm not too sure on that. I honestly haven't paid enough attention to my game to really notice if it's normal or not.

It is shown in the video in my original post. Look at the lights on the police car and the slicktop charger. Compare the day and night.
