LSPDFR crash when loading/forceduty or not responsive at all

Featured Replies

Been hit with constant problems with the mod for almost a year now I regret to say and it's burning me out.

My problem is whenever I forceduty the plugin instantly crashes, the issue raised in the Rage UI is that it could not access a certain plugin (LSPDFR+ for example, however it's a different plugin each time). So instead I try to go on duty by entering a station, once again my game either crashes or it'll prompt me that I'm on duty but I won't receive callouts, cannot force them or pull people over etc, as if I'm not even using LSPDFR.

I've tried my best trying to understand the logs that Rage produces for me and I can usually temporarily fix the issue by removing a plugin and get maybe one good patrol before the issue comes back.

This time however has stumped me, I'll attach a pastebin of the Rage log, not too sure what the issue is this time. Attached is evidence of both the forceduty immediately crashing, and when I attempted to go on duty from a station.

I don't want to say I've tried everything, but I'm coming very close to it!

Thus far I have Direct X11 forced, forced windowed mode, everything is up to date including plugins and Rage - perhaps its a plugin conflict issue, but seemingly every plugin I've tried to use causes the problem - the problem does not occur when I remove all plugins bar LSPDFR, just wondering if any genius has discovered a way to actually make the plugins work.

I appreciate any and all help given.

Now you say you’ve tried everything so I’m assuming that you’ve set the GTA main directory as an exception in your antivirus software? You’re also running RPH as an admin?

Yeah, both have been done. Got GTA as high priority in task manager too with no joy.

When the plugin crashes when you forceduty, do you reload LSPDFR using the console? If not, when it crashes, try to do the following command: loadplugin “LSPD First Response.dll”

Double checked to make sure GTA was an exception, turns out my antivirus needed updating. Seems to be working fine now, I've forced duty twice and it's worked perfectly. I appreciate the help

Thanks for letting us know.  A lot of other users have reported this same problem recently, perhaps this might be the resolve for some of them.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Been met with another issue now, my game keeps crashing at random points. Not sure if this is a problem with LSPDR or other plugins or whether it's the game itself, would appreciate if someone more 'qualified' could have a look at the crash report attached.

Never mind, I was a big boy and figured it out on my own.

Simple fix for exception code 0xv0000005 in case anyone else comes across it; delete [cfg.dat] and [pc_settings.bin] from your profile folder in documents/rockstar games/GTAV

Scratch that

You do have a missing audio file which is most likely the problem. Go ahead and download LSPDFR (the manual install) and only copy over the ‘Police Scanner’ folder.

Done that, keep getting the same exception error. Any other suggestions?

Can you replicate the error again and post the most recent log? There’s no exception message in the one you provided.

Yeah your issue is definitely a missing audio file. You can try installing this and see if that helps, since you say you copied over Police Scanner.

Still no joy, the crashes are quite sporadic. I could crash five minutes or an hour into playing.

Are you crashing in a specific area of the map? Or all over the place?

I tried to avoid this for a long time but this is about the last thing I can offer. Try verifying your game files to see if an audio file was corrupted during download.

It just happens randomly, I'll see what verifying the files does, thanks.
