ELS Lights Not Making Light

Featured Replies

I just recently installed ELS along with some cars to go with it, but when I get in game and turn the lights on they do not emit any light themselves. I can see the color pattern on the light and see the light on the walls but nothing from the light bar itself. I am pretty sure I installed ELS correctly and I know it is not a problem with the car because it does it does this for everyone I have. I am a little new to GTAV modding so if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi there.

Based off your screenshot, it does look like there are lights on the light bar, jut very dim.  Is that what you mean, or do the lights not move on the light bar?

Yes I can see the lights themselves on the light bar but they don't have a glow or flash around them. I have turned my graphics up like some people suggest but it hasn't helped at all.

What about your PostFX, shader quality, and shadows?

Take your mods folder out of your directory.  Start up and load into the game.  Then exit and put the mods folder back in and try.

Try installing RadianceV, please.

That worked. Thank you very much!

You're welcome. :)

I'm confused. Is Radiance required for the lights to work or not. (because no one has ever referenced it in relation to ELS. ) Not sure why it just isn't included.

Sorry, I don't stand with Ukraine because Biden expects me to for his agenda.

No, it's not.  RadianceV just helps with brightness if your lights aren't bright.  Though, honestly,  it's for people who either can't be bothered or struggle with editing the files themselves.  RadianceV is just a visualsettings.dat file.  You could easily edit it yourself and get the same result.

Also, locking this thread due to bumping.  Kareem, if you have another question, please feel free to make your own topic. :)
