LSPDFR Reinstalling GTA V

Hello LSPDFR community,

I am new to GTA 5 and definitely to this community, I installed the manual version and replaced the outdated hook files with the new ones, all seems well until I launch the Hook application where it signs me in through Social Club and starts installing GTA 5 all over again, I don't plan on installing another 69gb. I've tried fixing this by putting the GTA 5 shortcut inside the GTA 5 directory in hopes that maybe the hook application would pick it up and start the game, then I ran into another issue which just simply states GTA5.exe failed to start.

Is there any advice you can give me to avoid reinstalling the whole game again? Oh and sorry if this is a topic that arises often, had troubles locating the same issue in the search bar due to incorrect topic titles.

Hi there.

It shouldn't be trying to reinstall the game.  Please watch this tutorial and make sure you did everything 100% correctly.

This is exactly the same video I watched to do the installation.

Have you installed anything else into your game aside from Rage and LSPDFR?

Try launching GTA V via the regular GTA5.exe.  Does it let you launch without redownloading?

Negative, it appears I have to reinstall GTA 5 again, won't let me launch without redownloading for some reason.

When did you install GTA V? The only reason I can think of for it to be trying to redownload the entire game is that it's not actually installed.

I was playing GTA V just fine, installed it yesterday, did some singleplayer missions, did some online, then saw a YouTube video that you can play as a cop so I closed the game and manually installed the mod as the video instructed step-by-step. Only thing I can think of is that the downloaded mods replaced something of the original start up files which I don't think should happen.

That might be the case.  Do me a favor and go ahead and remove the mods.  Then verify integrity of game cache.

Alrighty.

Should I remove the hook files too? @Kallus Rourke

ScriptHookV files?  Yes, please.  Lets start you over on a fresh game.  Once you remove the mods and verify, please try launching the game and verify if it works.

Also, how do I verify integrity? I'm running purely from Rockstar not Steam

Delete GTA5.exe  Create a shortcut of GTAVLauncher/exe-->right click that shortcut-->properties. In the target line, put -verify behind the exe, remembering to add a space.  It should look like GTAVLauncher.exe -verify.  Next, open the shortcut and verify will start.

Yeah, did that and I know it's supposed to pop up with this small window and have "Verifying Game Data" but it has this instead - 4pTPVgl.jpg

Right click the shortcut, run as admin.

Did so, just went straight onto 14/69 gb download so I'm assuming only some files were deleted/corrupted.

Thank you for the help, it just verified the download integrity so I'm guessing the game isn't installed for it to check game integrity. I'll reinstall it and give it one more try for the LSPDFR manual mod install, I'm keen to get this working. Thank you for helping :)

So I reinstalled the game again as you're aware, got this issue when I tried to verify it -

Verifying integrity of game cache should get that file back.  I'm sorry, I know you did that previously.  Bink2w64.dll is provided by GTA, so if it's missing, there's no other way to get it back aside from verifying or reinstalling, which you already did.
