Just got a decent rig today, downloaded my gta 4 via steam, I downloaded LCPDFR being all giddy, but I got an error with the installation check. Apparently I had to download a patch for gta? I tried that and just got errors. I'll update this post with pictures when I'm home. Or maybe someone knows off the top of their head what to do? I used the automatic install, then tried the manual install zip with no success. 

Steam auto updates your GTA IV to patch 1.8.0, you need to downgrade back to 1.07 so the scripts and mods can work.

1. Download patch from Rockstars website

2: Open ZIP file and folder within

 

3: Go to your GTAIV folder, mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV

 

4. Unzip files to GTAIV folder5. Open UpdateTitle.exe as administrator6. Install the patch7.
