ELS problem / can't activate some features

Hey guys,

 

so I have a problem with ELS. For example, I can't activate the blackout mode. The main things like takedown lights, primary, secondary and warning lights are working fine.

I guess the ELS guide is for the english keyboard, not for the german keyboard. So there are some different keys.

Any ideas?

I have never even seen a German keyboard, nor was I aware there was one (I'm kidding).  In all seriousness, I'm not sure how the keys for American keyboards translate to German keyboards.  The takedowns can be activated with ], however, not all models come with takedowns.  I use a controller, so I can't remember off the top of my head which key is blackout mode on keyboard.  On controller, if you use one, takedowns are right button and blackout mode is A.

Yeah, I always asked myself, are there enough keys on a controller. Even if, I don't have a controller. I don't know if I should buy a controller for like 50€ and the only time I would use it is when I play LSPDFR.

If GTA is the only game you'd be playing, then no, I wouldn't.  I'd only advise it for someone who plays a lot of games and would have multiple uses for one.

 

If you could, please, hop in game and test if the takedowns are working for you. I just want to make sure the features do work.  Also, the key above the ENTER button, | \ is blackout mode.

Haha     As I read that I had to laugh. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to laugh at you. But the key above the ENTER key is the backspace key. Our keyboards are totally different.

As you said before, I don't know the translation between the american and the german keyboard too.

Lol, so there's no key in between your backspace and enter keys?  Look on your keyboard for anything that has | and \.  If you don't have that key, you can change the keybind in the ELS INI, but given the differences, I'm not sure if it'd work the same for you.

The only other thing I can have you try is pressing "7" (not numpad 7).  You could also try different buttons.  The   > < | key that is at the bottom left of your keyboard.  If neither of those, the only thing I can suggest is to either change the keybinding in the ELS INI, or go crazy pressing buttons.
