    It doesn't hurt anything to change the numbers.  Even if you eventually switch out the cars, it doesn't do anything but help to make sure they don't vanish at a distance.

    Which was why I said to change the LOD distance. :)  Even if the mod author doesn't create proper LODs, all you need is to change the LODs in the meta and it's good.
