ELS not bright enough.

I've downloaded els and ever since i got i the lights havent been bright enough. I don't know if its just the vehicle i use or what.

    Alright, but instead of installing that same vehicle, try a different ELS vehicle.

Before you do this, verify if it's an issue with all vehicles or just one.  There are some ELS models that have shitty lighting by default, and nothing you edit will fix it.

 

If it's on all your vehicles, go into your visualsettings.dat, and look for "car.defaultlight.emissive." You will see a day and a night option.

 

Change day to 6000

 

You can change the night number, but it's really up to you as to how the lights look at night.

 

Change night to 1500

Thats another thing is I only have 2 vehicles installed and thats the only one i got els on. I have tried to put more vehicles in but for some reason it don't work. I use Open IV to install my vehicles. But on this vehicle ill try that i only put mine up to like 600 rn.

I've done it and it still doesn't work do you think you can help me install a vehicle. Like i said idk why when i try to install it won't work.

Then that's why, lol.  600 is very, very low for lights.

In game, pause the game.  Go to your settings and look for PostFX. Set to high or above.

Double check in OpenIV that you did in fact change the settings.     You need to drag the edited visualsettings into openiv when edit mode is enabled.

I think so is that where when you are in open 4 and then click edit mode then after that drag visualsettings out then edit it, then after that put them back in and just click edit mode again. If so then i did.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. If the visualsettings you posted here is the one that is in your game, then the changes you made were not saved.

 

Drag the visualsettings.dat to your desktop.

 

Open it.

 

Look for the lines I mentioned above, and change the values to how I have them.

 

Save.

 

Now click "edit mode" in OpenIV and put the visualsettings.dat in the exact same place you got it from.
