With rage and lspdfr it crashes again however when lspdfr wasn't installed it happily started up and i could use a mod menu and spawn in custom cars, i think the issue is lspdfr yet the files are exactly the same as Albo's were in the video

I'm not sure why LSPDFR would be causing this.  Try running this troubleshooter.

 

 

I got 4 issues and fixed 3 however this one i'm not sure about;

I wondered if that was the issue.  You're not using the registry path that is on your C drive, you're using an external drive.  Rage is a tad bit picky about it.  Unfortunately, I have never used an external drive, so I don't know what the solution for that would be.

Almost Gta 5 is installed on my second hard drive but even with the "fix" it crashes so i'm still curious why

It could still be confused about the registry path.  I am not sure what could be done about it.  It seems like everything else should be fine and dandy.  The one thing you could try, open Rage, and go into the settings---> Game settings ---> Command line switches check "Force Windowed mode" and "Force DirectX11" then save and launch.

Are you positive there is only ONE GTA directory on your computer and hard drives?  There aren't multiple, or other instances of GTA or Rage or LSPDFR on your computer?

The only thing i can think of is the latest Gta update might have screwed it but would that crash the whole game?

And i am positive this is the only version

And to add to that i uninstalled Lspdfr and the game launches perfectly with Rage

That's what has me confused.  It seems LSPDFR is the problem, but nothing else seems to be fixing it currently.  The very last thing I can advise is to try running Rage as admin, see if it makes a difference.

Alright however dinput seems to be f****** up right now...

When i uninstalled it by accident, however when i re-added it it crashed again...

Weird, it should be working fine.  Is it only when it's uninstalled?

Nevermind i reinstalled scripthook and the dinput is fine....................... This is painful

Modding is a tad random.  Sometimes it works flawlessly. Other times, random shit happens.   At least you got the dinput working.  I'm still not sure about LSPDFR, though.  Do you have the lspdfr / police scanner folder?

Yea i do but i haven't reinstalled it yet, could it be the update for the Vagner and other things though?
