Modding DLC Pack V change in vehicles.meta dont work

Hello Guys,

im new to modding my gta v. So i found the Modding DLC Pack V from Albo. This thing was create, i have added some replace cars, Peds, this works fine. But when i must change some lines on the vehicles.meta it don't works.

 

This is the right place or not ?

But when i used a replace cop car, the lights and windows are black. So i have no blue lights.

 

Can someone help me...

Delete original_vehicles_meta.  That should not be there. :)

Honestly, at least from that screenshot, the windows don't look too crazy dark.  I would've thought deleting the extra vehicles meta would fix it.  Go into the vehicle meta, find the line for that vehicle, and look for "diffusetint".  Change that to 0x00FFFFFF

My best guess is that's how it should be.  If you notice, the windshield and front windows are perfectly normal.  It's just the back.  Try two things, for me, please.

 

1) In game, use your trainer to change the tint to none.  Even if it's already on none, set it to have some tint, then switch back and just see if that makes a difference.

 

2) Go into OpenIV, and go to where you installed one of these vehicles.  Open the .yft, which is a viewer of the vehicle.  Are the back windows as dark?

Hm i used the menyoo Trainer, but i cant find anything to change that window tint. Did you know about menyoo Trainer ?

 

Here is what the files looks in editor. light black glases.I can look through it and the blue lights glas are blue.

If changing the diffusetint in vehicles.meta is not working, there must be another meta for this car that is overriding.  What slot is this car? and is there another spot that the meta is (that you know of)?

The slot is Sheriff2, original was the mod for slot police.

 

The mods path is correct.  You shouldn't mess with anything outside of the mods folder in OpenIV.

 

Make sure the Sheriff2 tint is changed.  You may of mistaken it for the police line.

Hm all i change will not work. I have put in visualsettings but the blue lights realy light, on day i cant see it right. I will delet Modding DLC Pack V in will have a look, i can mod my gta over the normal way.

I tell you my process.

So now i will do it the normal way. So at my mod car there is the following path, but there i found nothing to put my car into it...

Use SparkIV or OpenIV to import the Files "mods/x64e/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf"  

 

So where i can find the actual path for all the replace cars.

With Modding DLC Pack V it was very easy.

With Modding DLC Pack V it was very easy.

 

In the past, patchday3 worked for some vehicles.  At some point it was updated to where only the latest patchday and x64e (for police4 only) worked.

 

The instructions that come with replacing a ped are always accurate, so you can follow those.

 

It really depends.  If you're editing the vehicles.meta for POLICE, POLICE 2, etc (default vehicles), go to mods / update / update / common / data /  levels / gta5. 

 

Carvariations for these models are hard coded in.  You'll need to add new carvariation lines.  You can add these lines in a DLC such as mpchristmas2.  mods / update / x64 / dlcpacks / mpchristmas2 / dlc / common / data.

It does seem hard, but it's mostly just drag and drop.
