The LCPDFR website is fairly difficult to scroll through to find answers to certain questions, so I'm posting here. I'm wondering how to change the default siren in ELS. I've looked at the siren tones in the XML's, but I can't figure out how to make the ambulance/fire truck/FBI siren something other than the default one found on all emergency vehicles. If it helps, I'm using the American Siren Pack.

i dont think you can it els i think you only can change the individual sound via open iv eg ambulance warnings etc

 

but i could be wrong some one might of work out a way by now

Unfortunately, ELS does not include customize-able sirens.  The siren that POLICE uses is the one that all vehicles will use.  There's no workaround for this unless

 

1) You make the vehicle non ELS.

 

2) You switch siren packs that cater to your needs before playing - such as installing CHP siren for a highway patrol, then switch to LAPD for city.

 

Other than that, there's no way to utilize POLICE siren for LSPD, FBI siren for FBI, ambulance for ambulance, etc.

 

However, there is one thing you can try.  In the ELS config, you can disable all sirens except for one, and force the vehicle to only use that one.  So if you made AMBULANCE_WARNING an actual ambulance siren, you now have a proper siren.  Obviously, this means the ambulance will be unable to use wail, yelp, etc.
