*REQUEST* "Hard Stop" Mod

Recommended Posts

I've been having lots of fun with LCPDFR, there is one thing I'd really like to be able to do, and even with all the mods I use it's not really possible

1) Call code2 (silent) backup (one or maybe 2 cars, maybe choice of marked or unmarked) - not during a pursuit - and have them follow me instead of coming just to the location (which they would normally do if not in pursuit).

2) Select a vehicle to be stopped. (for example came up on ANPR as wanted etc)

3) When I turn on sirens pursuit begins.

This way I can speed along side a vehicle, hit the sirens, and try to obstruct the vehicle with backup immediately behind to help.

This allows the pursuit (or stop) to be started at the exact location/time I chose and (aimed to be) ended quickly, and I don't need to wait for backup - basically whats known in the UK as a hard stop.

Would it be possible for someone to make a mod for this, or alternatively if someone knows of a mod I can use that will do this, that would be great.

Thanks!

I think this is a great idea, and I'd love to see this developed. Additionally, I think it's high time the traffic stop backup system got revamped. It was one of the earlier features of the original Police Radio, and while it works well, it only spawns a LSPD cruiser and peds, which is strange when you're out on the highway or in Blaine County. Surprising, to be honest, that it hasn't been improved on since.

Thanks, hopefully someone with the skills will see this thread and agree!

This is what a hard stop in LSPDFR would look like.

If you are dealing with a suspect/perp who you expect to be armed or they are a high value target it makes much more sense to prepare and equip yourself for a "shock and awe" kind of stop.

Starting a pursuit with one vehicle trying to do a normal traffic stop, or joining a pursuit in progress, are really the only options right now, it would be great to have an option like this.
