ELS extras not showing up in game

So after I had applied the GTA V generic lights_lightsemissive from the materials list to my ELS extras, upon exporting my model the extras disappear when I open it in OpenIV as well as in game.  Before I did this they were working just fine, but weren't bright because they were just standard textures, not emissive.
Can anyone help me out?
