I was able to run GTA fine. After I downloaded yalls mod and tried to run GTA I get an application error message. [ Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5. Cannot create file "C:/Program files (x86)/rockstar games/ Grand Theft Auto IV/asilogtext." access is denied ] I have read other forums but havent been able to find a solution. I have tried installing asi loader but havent had much luck. After downloading it and extracting the files it wouldnt automaticaly install and gave me serch for program pn internet box. I dont know if this is cause of the website i used or im just not as computer savy as most people doing mods. any help would be greatly apperciated. thanks

Did you run everything as Administrator? What patch are you using in the game?

Is GTA IV compatible with Win 7? Or can I enable Win XP mode to make it run?

Lol, GTA IV is compatible with Win 7. And your question does not belong here anyhow.

You not only have to run the game as an admin but you also had to have executed the installer for LCPDFR as an admin as well. When you install an ASI loader you only need to drag the file (I prefer dsound) to your main GTA or EFLC game directory. Also, the screen you are describing (run program as . . .) suggests you attempted to actually execute one of the .ASI or ASI loader files, which isn't possible. Lastly, if you used the automatic installer for LCPDFR it should have already loaded an ASI loader. Make sure you only have ONE ASI LOADER installed! They will interfere with each other.
