I do wish there was a easier way to automatic instill the vehicles in to the game for single player with the LAFDFR mode thing to add newer vehicles for GTA police Just like there was in gta 4

Well I have had the privilege of driving in real life on duty the Crown Victoria, Explorer, and the Taurus when I was a beat officer along with now that I am on a specialized unit.

Starting with the Crown Victoria - Those vehicles were built to last! You can drive that car and not worry about a thing breaking unlike the newer vehicles. The only thing I hated about the crown vic is that I felt like I was sitting a hole.

Taurus - It definitely was an upgrade from the Crown Victoria with the response when you press on the throttle, but It doesn't sound no where near the V8 engine of the Crown Victoria. In a law enforcement officer stand point the car is really small inside when you have all that equipment in it. I am a taller guy so with the partition you can only take your seat so far back.

Explorer- Our agency has rolled these out within the last year. When I first got behind the wheel of one I was in love! The same equipment is in that vehicle just like the other vehicles and I have so much room especially when I have a partner with me. We are definitely not bumping elbows. Now with the way people drive now a days I like being in the explorer one because I'm up higher and 2 its an SUV I just feel more safe.

Overall I like the suv. Your patrol vehicle is your office for 8,12 hours a day we don't get paid enough as it is we need a comfortable ride.

OpenIV is not that difficult to learn if you study the files long enough.

I LOVE the Taurus's so much. They are beefy, yet sporty, and able to handle the rough life that is being a police vehicle.

What Officer777 said.  If you're going to be modding your game, you need to know how to do it yourself so that if something breaks in the future, you have a clue as to how to fix it.  Saves us the trouble of you coming here and asking us for help when it was just a simple fix.  Better to learn.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

But in more modern terms, the Crown Victoria is literally the best LE vehicle of all time. The Taurus and the Exploder aren't exactly police vehicles. A. You're crammed in this little Taurus sedan trying to peek out of it's small windows. B. You're inside a fairly big SUV which rattles and squeaks and overall just looks like your mother's "utility" van.

The Crown Victoria may  not see modern safety standards, but you have a car that can take a front end collision, and if that motor and chassis is untouched, you'll spend more than likely less than 1k in repairs. Even so, some departments have spent $ on new blocks for their wrecked Crown Vics. The car is dirt cheap, takes constant abuse, and has maintenance costs the price of a plumber for your shit filled toilet. You won't see departments rushing to the current newer cars after their production line is finished the same way they did the Vic. This car does not stop.

I knew absolutely nothing about modding. I bought a laptop off of HP.com because I watched Jeff Favignano play lspdfr and i wanted to play myself. Youll have trouble at first, i corrupted my game at least 3 times, i have reinstalled my entire game about 5 times (and it takes literally a day- sometimes 30 hours to do so). The learning process is not easy. You gotta burn ya hand on the stove before you know not to touch it. Youll understand it. Try finding videos about it, that's how i did it..But for now ill tell you this: go into OpenIV, if you havent already create a mods folder in your GTAV main directory. (Program Files->Rockstar Games->Grand Theft Auto V) Do that from your normal file explorer app on your pc.

Then in openiv copy x64e into your mods folder. Then copy the latest patch day into your mods folder, and from there you just copy the vehicle files YFT and YTD into it and place the ELS configuration file in the ELS pack default folder
