Police cars not spawning

Tl;dr is at the bottom with the main questions. If you want all the details, please continue reading.

Hey guys!

First of all, I am kinda new to all this so please explain things to me like you would to a five year old ;) Second, sorry if this isn't the right place for support, as this is my first ever time posting a forum.

So basically my problem is that I think I am not installing some mods right. I have only installed 2 mods (Emergency lighting system v1.05 and BxBugs123's 2011 Ford Crown Victoria CVPI, which is the first els car to be released) and to my knowledge, I have done it correctly. But apperantly that's not the case. After installing ELS, my game only loads 2 police cars, the police helicopter and bike.

I don't have a trainer or lspdfr so I can't actually spawn in anything. The first car that spawns the most frequently is the rather muscular looking car that looks like a Ford Mustang from the front. In the game files it is named as police2. It doesn't matter if I replace this car with a modded car, the original keeps on spawning. The next car that spawns is the unmarked black SUV with 4 guys grabbing on to car and standing in the side step. I don't know what it's called in the game files, sorry. I have seen many videos aswell telling you how to add mods, but none of then worked for me. So if someone could tell me an updated version of how to install an ELS compitable car, I would really appreciate it.

Now to the els itself. I have no clue what went wrong here. I have everything (or most, please tell me if I am missing something) needed for this (ScripthookV, ScriptHookV.dll, ScriptHookVDotNet.asi, ScriptHookDotNet, asi loader 'dinput8.dll', AdvancedHookV.dll, AdvancedHookV and the openIV files even though it's not really needed.). But whenever I press J, K, or L the lights don't come on. If I press G once the

lights come on with the siren. I had this problem with an ELS pack that I tried to make sure that ELS wasn't working.

TL;DR:

I cant seem to install ELS even with the necessary files eg. Scripthook. It's the basic press g once for lights and siren.

it also causes only 2 police cars to spawn, and even if the car is modded, only the original one spawns.

I can't seem to install car mods at all, can someone please give me a detailed tutorial?

Thank you for reading, hopefully I will find someone that can help. :)

lets go over how you are installing cars....where are you putting it? in terms of open IV

with ELS you also need a VCF, aka vehicle control file that tells els to use it on that car. the default folcer is in the ELS folder Pack_default is where they go, you can whip out a basic one using the demo one in there

I use the 2011 CVPI and ELS. I assume you used OpenIV to install the car, but just to be sure, make sure you followed these steps:

1. Open OpenIV for GTA V

2. Navigate to GTA V > Update > x64 > dlcpacks > patchday14ng > dlc.rpf

3. Click "Edit Mode"

4. Click "Add to Mods Folder"

5. Navigate to GTA V > mods > Update > x64 > dlcpacks > patchday14ng > dlc.rpf > x64 > levels > gta5 > vehichles.rpf

6. Drop all of the .yft and .ytd files into that directory [Close OpenIV, no longer needed]

7. Copy the included "police.xml" file to GTA V > ELS > pack_default

The steps above will create a folder for you to safely add vehicles without tampering with game files, and add the ELS config file for the 2011 CVPI to the ELS folder.

For some computers with lower vRAM or RAM capacity, spawning these vehicles can be slow, and lead to texture loss. GTA V will try to avoid spawning these resource intensive cars naturally, based on your GTA V video settings, and GCARD capabilities.

I highly recommend that you download Simple Native Trainer (requires ScriptHook) so you can manually spawn your cars, among other things.

If you are having problems getting ELS to work, try the following:

Update OpenIV, and install the latest .asi loaders [Its under Tools in OpenIV]

Update Rage Plugin Hook to the latest version.

Make sure you have the latest AdvancedHook [Included with your ELS Download]

Note: By default press J to toggle the different light stages, G to toggle the siren, 1 through 6 to manually toggle sirens, and T and Y for horn/man

~Hope this Helps

Ayyeee! Thanks guys! Now my ELS is up and running with a couple of cars! Thanks for the help! And I dont think its my GCARD thats causing the issue. I have a GTX 750, which is kind of outdated, but gets the job done

might be the open IV do dad......for the cars and the asi loader for ELS btw........i personally use the / * - on the num pad for the lights id i need to switch them on and off, but i also use a controller
