Pursuit Issues

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I've recently started having issues (before the update & after) with pursuits. The suspect that I am attempting to stop will now start to drive "crazy" and when I say crazy I mean, drive right off a cliff doing 100+ with not recollection of the road or objects in it's way. HOWEVER; this only happens once I switch my siren / blast my air horn.

So traffic stop flow -> initiate the stop, driver flees (currently following road and obstacles), come up to traffic, I start switching siren and BAM now it's a mad man driver. It seems like the horn / siren switching is causing the blipped AI to just drive, straight and fast for some reason.

Now I have not always had this issue, it used to work for the longest time without an issue, then one day it just stopped working. I thought it may have had something to do with a siren pack I had installed, but this turned out NOT to be the issue. Actually 2 days ago I just did a fresh install of everything and still am having this issue. I can make a video if anyone needs to "see" this. But at this point I'm just clueless as to what to do, or what is causing it, it's rather annoying, because anytime someone tries to run I'm forced to not change the siren (unrealistic) or change it and watch the suspect pretty much kill themselves (can be funny at times LOL).

Please let me know if you need any info, looking to see if anyone else has had this issue and any possible fixes.

I've had this issue as well lately and I've found that it's ELS doing it, as when I use siren control or anything else the drivers are fine. It only happens occasionally when I do a quick blip of my siren, or air horn.  Like when I initiate a stop on a vehicle, and quickly blip the siren/air horn, the driver freaks out as you described (one time I even had a driver drive head on into a train). I've found that if I don't blip my sirens AI drivers are just fine, and will pull over (sometimes) "normally" (because GTA AI don't know the meaning of that word). I'm sure the ELS devs are aware of this, and maybe even someone out there has found a quick fix for it.

Set "TrafctrlON" to false in the ELS ini.

I believe this is due to the feature with ELS when you can drive up, say to a red light and honk or blip sirens at the vehicles in front of you and they will run the red light to get out of the way. The full throttle must be by ELS to override the AI sitting at the light into running the red light and moving out of the way, but that's just my guess.
