Police Pursuit problem

Featured Replies

Hello

I was hoping somebody could help.

I am not sure if this is how the pursuits work but it seems when i change siren tone during a police pursuit the car i am chasing decides to go running off the road in either direction.

Anybody have any idea whether this is a problem or this is how the person you are chasing reacts?

Thanks in advance.

This is a well recorded issue with ELSV. It is caused by the function which enables you to force traffic out of your way by using your siren. Unfortunately the game makes no distinction between traffic cars and suspect vehicles, so if you change siren tone close behind a suspect they will accelerate in a straight line and smash into things.

The only fix right now is to go into your ELS.ini file and change the line

ElsTrafCtrlOn = true

to

ElsTrafCtrlOn = false

This also means you won't be able to force traffic anymore either.
